metre pole with anti-climb frame. These cameras use pulsed infra-red
technology, which provides a 97% read accuracy in all conditions,
there usually sited on both sides of the carriageway or lanes.
These
cameras are mainly used by the Police for detection of crime and
terrorism, they can be hard wired back to the control equipment, or
alternatively they can be connected using the latest encrypted radio

Police
PIPS
Technology has incorporated the use of Automatic Number Plate
Recognition (ANPR) technology into fixed, mobile and portable systems,
for the Police Service. The results have been impressive with
officials now able to automatically capture, recognise and match
vehicle number plates against vehicle records such as DVLA, VOSA, PNC,
PNC ID and numerous Intelligence databases.
Main Applications
include:
-
Fixed –
Permanent Installation such as a force control room, police station
operations room or a commercial 3rd party partnership CCTV
installation.
-
Mobile ANPR –
In-car solution to capture number plates and compare to databases to
produce a HIT
-
Fully Portable
– A self contained system which is able to be moved easily from
vehicle to vehicle, or used within a building for operations or in a
roadside deployment.

Auto Plate Secure
With
proven experience in ANPR software, PIPS has developed the next
generation of ANPR software to provide information at all times and
under all conditions for round the clock operation.
PIPS Auto Plate Secure has been developed for access control and car
park management. PIPS easy installation means minimum fuss and no need
for complex additional equipment. As a number-plate enters the field
of view of the camera, PIPS state-of-the-art software performs instant
recognition and creates an event log. It can trigger other security
equipment such as barriers to allow access to known vehicles.
Auto Plate Secure allows the operator to search the image for a
registration number and then displays all the entry and exit
information for that vehicle. The database can be searched by date to
show all traffic information for that day and over a specified time
period.
PIPS Auto Plate Secure can integrate with 3rd party access control
hardware and can interface with any camera source irrespective of
whether local or remote. It has the ability to monitor multiple lanes
and multiple sites both local and remote and has the facility for
remote database administration. |
