London Schools urged to install metal detectors to help stop knife crime


Police say "Knife arches" can help prevent attacks, as number of attacks of under 25's stabed to death this year in the capital reaches 17.

DCS Michael Gallagher, one of the Met's leaders on its anti-Knife initiative, operation Scepter, said Knife arches in schools would help pupuls stay safer. "There is a growing body of headteachers that think it is probably a good idear," he said.

Once again its time to sponser the Essex & Harts Air Ambulance strickly Dance Competition, held at Charter Hall Colchester. This year the celebrity Juges were Aljaz Skorjnnec and Janette Manrara. and what a spectacular show it was

This year we have upgraded three 0f our vehicles and this one has just arrived, which is an addition to the fleet, its just waiting to be racked out and it can be put into service.

Carly Mitchell has decided to move on to pastures new and green, and we all wish her the very best, she had been an inportant member of the team for a number of years and will be missed.


 


Joining the team is Michelle Downham, who is quickley learning the ropes and will be an asset to the company.






March 2016 was the Essex & Harts Strictly Air Ambulance Show, held at Charter Hall Colchester, this is the second year that GCS Alarms Ltd has sponsered this event and again it was a great success, raising over £6000 for the Essex Air Ambulance. We have supported the Air Ambulance for a number of years now, it is a necassary service and a worthy Charity saving lives on a daily basis, so please make a donation when ever you can. Paul Dewing Managing Director of GCS Alarms Ltd was presented with the Enterprise Education Certificate, at the Manningtree High School for helping the year 11 students with mock interviews and mentoring, he says the future is looking bright.

Peter Dewing

After 43 years in business and at the age of 71 Peter Dewing has decided to semi-retire and take on the roll of Chairman, and has handed over the day to day running of the company to his son Paul who now becomes Managing Director.

Paul Dewing has been with GCS Alarms Ltd since he left school working his way up through the various stages of the companies development, from apprentice to trainee, from trainee to engineer and on to surveying where he took on the roll of General Manager. He has under taken first aid training, fire risk assessment, health & safety and IOSH plus a lot more. He has now taken on the roll of Managing Director and I am sure he will continue to take GCS Alarms Ltd forward into 2014 maintaining their committment to quality and after sales customer service.
